The day Lorraine moved office at Wembley

Created by David 3 years ago

Dear old Arnold Weinstock was never the most generous company owner. So when Lorraine moved office with her transport manager to share an office with 10 men from technical support the first thing that was done was to make a partition out of old grey 4 drawer filing cabinets. Not a very high partition but enough to separate transport from technical. Transport was a little bit emotive because they had the pleasure of issuing company cars to over 200 service engineers. They also dealt  with speeding fines, so it needed a bit of secrecy. The Monday morning following the move the lads were at there desks and were startled by a scream from Lorraine, she jumped up on her desk, threw her arms up in the air and shouted “ I’VE GOT MICE IN MY DRAWERS. Dear Lorraine, never to be forgotten. The filing cabinets did not stop that outburst.
